Camper preparation checklist
Secure the interior
- Latch cabinets, drawers, windows, vents and doors.
- Remove loose, fragile, valuable and prohibited items.
- Retract slide-outs and secure convertible furniture.
Inspect the exterior
- Retract awnings, antennas, steps and stabilizers.
- Lock compartments and secure removable accessories.
- Photograph every side before pickup.
Tires, hitch, lights and brakes
- Check tire pressure, tread, age, cracking and the spare.
- Confirm hitch, coupler, safety chains and breakaway system.
- Verify running lights, signals, brake lights and brakes.
Measurements and route safety
Provide accurate overall length, width, height and weight, including rooftop equipment and accessories. Oversize dimensions can affect routing and permits.
